Our Story
Treasured Keepsakes is a small family run company which evolved from our own personal experience.
Sadly, in 2007 our family suffered a tremendous loss. In July our brother Dave died suddenly and only 18 weeks later our mother Maureen also died suddenly. We were left heartbroken at the loss of a caring and fun loving brother and a devoted and loving mother. Both Dave and mum were cremated. When it came to choosing urns and keepsakes for their cremated remains we found our choices were very limited.
Our father kept some of our mums cremated remains in a small keepsake, which we had to have purposely made. He receives great comfort in knowing that he still keeps a part of our mum with him at all times.
Through our own experience we received the inspiration to set up Treasured Keepsakes, to give people a wide variety of options should they choose to keep the cremated remains or a lock of hair in an urn or small keepsake. We hope that these choices will give comfort to those who lose a loved one.
As part of our service Treasured Keepsakes will meet with you and help you choose an urn or keepsake that uniquely reflects your loved ones personality and serves as a dignified final resting place for them. Following the cremation we will place the cremated remains of your loved one in your chosen urn or keepsake.
Dealing with the grief and loss of a loved one is one of the most difficult things in life that you will ever face. In forming this company we hope that you will have a treasured keepsake of your loved one to hold dear and take some comfort from.
The opportunity to choose a treasured keepsake presents itself only once - the comfort a treasured keepsake offers lasts a lifetime.
Kind Regards,
Liza Webster
